Is it true the file never goes to a server?

Yes. The file is read and processed in your browser. It's easy to verify yourself — we show how on the "How it works" page.

Which formats are supported?

PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), JPG, PNG and HTML. Word and Excel can be converted to PDF, signed or merged with other files right away. Save old .doc and .xls files in the new format in Word or Excel.

Why is there a cloud mode then?

For very large files and slow computers. Only you turn on cloud, for one operation, on the Pro plan. The copy is deleted after 60 minutes.

Does it work for GDPR, HIPAA and CCPA?

The file isn't sent to anyone, so there's no extra company to sign a data processing agreement with. Compliance also depends on your internal policies. For companies we offer Enterprise: on-premise installation, a DPA and audit support — contact us.
